Make the Ethical
Choice - Organic bamboo Bed Linen
In case you are
worried about Giant Pandas. Bamboo textiles are made
of Moso Bamboo– not the type of Bamboo that
Pandas eat.
Our Bamboo is grown Organically without using any
pesticides or fertilizers as the plants natural
antifungal and antibacterial agent -
“Bamboo Kun”
means it is seldom attacked by pests or
pathogens.
The yield from an
acre of bamboo is 10 times greater than the yield you
get from cotton. In an age where land use is under
enormous pressure this is hugely significant.
In cultivation
Bamboo absorbs more CO2 and produces 35% more oxygen
than an equivalent area of trees. As bamboo fabric
becomes more popular it means more bamboo
plantations. More Bamboo means Less greenhouse gas
and Less Global warming.
Bamboo is in fact
a very fast growing grass and can be harvested every
3 or 4 years and then renews itself without need for
replanting.
It spreads rapidly across large areas. It can be
planted on hill slopes where nothing else is
viable and encourages soil
stability.
It is a fully
sustainable crop. In its cultivation it will grow
with normal rainfall whereas Cotton requires
substantial irrigation.
Bamboo Fabric is
Hypoallergenic and biodegradable.
After years of use, the sheets can be composted and
completely returned to the earth.
The growing of our
Bamboo is certified with OCIA International Organic
Certification. The production of the bamboo fibre is
manufactured under ISO 14001 Environmental Management
Systems.
Our Bamboo Fabric meets the international standard
-
OEKO – Tex Standard 100 .
